What would you do if your brother or sister was put in prison unjustly? Would you sit idly by? Would you go about your daily life without thinking or caring about your imprisoned sibling? Would you forget to pray for him or her?
At this moment brothers and sisters in Christ are imprisoned for their faith. Many Christians stand idly by. We go about our lives forgetting the plight of our suffering brothers and sisters. If my biological brother or sister was in need, I would rush to help. Yet we tend to turn our heads as our brothers and sisters in Christ suffer.
The Bible compares the church to a body. When one part of the body hurts, the other members attempt to ease its pain. So it should be in the body of Christ. The most powerful thing we can do is pray.
